The goal of this expansive renovation project was to dramatically upgrade the overall architectural character of the existing 1980s California-Contemporary Style home. In order to maximize the stylistic enhancement desired, the design approach focused on developing highly refined, yet simplified, architectural details at every opportunity throughout the home. The spatial quality of the main living areas was further enhanced by connecting them to new and extensive site improvements, in a manner which made them feel like an integral extension of those interior spaces.
